This is a 4.5 mile walk with no hills or stiles. We start our walk from here to loop around some fields and hedgerows before entering Oughton Common and Nature Reserve. The paths following the river are good and usually mud free. We will cross the Common which leads onto a lane with some nice views across the countryside. We then enter a wood, the paths are easy to follow though they are criss crossed with exposed roots and tree stumps. (There is another track running alongside, outside the woods away from the river if you don’t feel comfortable negotiating the roots but not so pretty.)
