Walking for the pleasure and enjoyment of the countryside, the club offers a variety of walking groups to cater for most abilities.
Our walks are normally circular and start at 10.00 a.m. 

Monday walks are usually about 2 hours and around 4 – 5 miles. Sunday walks are longer at 5-6 miles. For those walkers who prefer a less challenging option the Leisurely Strollers programme is designed to be shorter and also takes place on a Monday at 10.a.m.

Well behaved dogs, on a short lead are welcome on all groups, unless stated otherwise in the walk description.

Sunday 19th July – Meet at 10am near the Chapel in Rectory Lane, Houghton Conquest.  The walk goes past Queen’s Wood and up to Houghton House.  From there it continues towards Ampthill Church, and returns via King’s Wood.  It is about six miles, and there are no stiles. Free parking at the Village Hall, Court Lane MK43 7QT,  The hall is 300 yards past the Village Cross on your left.  The best route  from Bedford to Stevington avoiding narrow lanes, is via Village Road in Bromham.  Refreshments afterwards at the Swan in Bromham. Sunday 16th August – Meet at 10 a.m at Grafham Water, The Wheatsheaf Pub Perry, for this 9 mile walk around the reservoir. No stiles or hills, just lovely water. Bring a picnic lunch.
