Walking for the pleasure and enjoyment of the countryside.
Our walks are normally circular & start at 10.00 am. Monday walk leader is Bev 01234 768974 unless stated otherwise. Monday walks are normally about 2 hours 4-5 miles. Sunday walks are a bit longer at 5-6 miles.
We are always looking for new members & non members are welcome to join us.
Well behaved dogs, on a short lead are welcome, unless stated otherwise in the walk description.

Sunday 6 October – RSPB Sandy, a walk of 4-5 miles in the bird sanctuary during early Autumn. Park in Market Place car park, High Street (opposite the Church) Sandy SG19 1AG at 10.00am. LEADER – Clare 01767 640965/07704 300426
Monday 7th October. The Royal George, Silver Street, Stevington MK43 7QP (car park entrance off Court Lane) This walk approx 4 miles, begins by walking towards Turvey but this time turns off before entering Pictshill estate and continues on crossing lovely meadows towards Pavenham and returning to Stevington along the river, past the church and back to the pub. – Leader Joyce.
Sunday 13 October – Buckden, a pleasant 5/6 mile walk through Buckden, open fields, woods and along the Ouse Valley Way. Park near Buckden Towers, High Street, Buckden, St. Neots, PE19 5TA at 10.00am. LEADER – Linda T 01480 350345/07733 343702.
Monday 14th October. Barton le Clay. The Clappers. Meet at Barton Mill MK45 4RF. Please note:- This walk will be altered this time to leave out the higher ascent and keep the walk skirting the lower paths around Clappers. Still lovely views and covering just over 5 miles. Sunday 20 October – Radwell, a pleasant circular walk of approximately 5 miles, in a variety of landscape settings including Pavenham Golf course and the River Ouse. Meet at 10.00am near Swan House in Radwell Road next to a small grassed area. MK44. LEADER – Sarah 01234 363112/07484 182820.

SATURDAY 26th OCTOBER – Club AGM (All welcome) 2.30-4.30 at Church Lane Community Centre, Church Lane, Bedford MK41 0PW (near Aldi store). Tea/coffee cakes will be provided. See Nomination Form for election of new Committee Members, please fill in the form and return to the Secretary or a Committee Member by Friday 18 October. Think about joining the Committee we only have one meeting a year plus the AGM. For any further information speak to a Committee Member.
Sunday 27 October – North Crawley, a mixture of arable and pasture farms and some points of historical interest trying to avoid ploughed fields (always a hazard in the Autumn). Sunday 10 November – A ramble of about 6 miles from the Harrold Odell Country Park in support of the Beds. Prostate Cancer Support Group, a local charity providing information and support to men diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, which is the most common cancer affecting men. Donations gratefully received on the day or a cheque made payable to “Beds Prostate Cancer Support Group” may be sent to John Dixon, (a committee member of the group) at 30 Hunts Path, Oakley, Bedford, MK43 7SR. Please give what you can in support of this worthwhile cause. It is proposed to call into the cafe at the end of the walk for light refreshments. Sunday 17th November. Three Locks, Stoke Hammond. Meet at the Three Locks Picnic area Car Park near the Three Locks Inn, the postcode is MK17 9DD to leave at 10.00am. (Please give yourself enough time to get there) About 6 miles along the Grand Union Canal, across country to Gt Brickhill then back via Rushmere Country park and another section of the canal. Sunday 29 December – Ravensden, Renhold and Mowsbury. A festive walk from Wentworth Drive, Bedford. Park between the Church Lane and Dover Crescent junctions in the small side road (first left off Dover Crescent) which runs along side and parallel to Wentworth Drive (signed Wentworth Drive – leading to Dunster Gardens).
