Bedford Rambling Club. Based in North Bedfordshire.

We are a small, friendly and sociable walking group who meet on Sunday and Monday mornings for 2-3 hour circular walks around Bedfordshire & the surrounding area. Please see our programme for details of walks and events.

Established in 1938 to “encourage a love of the open air, to provide for the healthy enjoyment of leisure, to assist in the preservation of the amenities of the countryside, and to promote social and international friendship.” Still valid today.

Sunday Walks. We meet at 10.00 on Sunday mornings for a 5-6 mile walk, where possible sharing cars to the start. Walking is at a leisurely pace with lots of chatting going on! We bring a drink and snack with us for a half way stop but sometimes there’s somewhere to call in and have a coffee. It’s a nice way to start a Sunday especially after a busy week, we’re usually back early afternoon. See Programme
Monday walks. Again meeting at 10.00. These are generally a little less energetic walks of around 4 miles aiming to finish around 12.00. We usually start and finish at a pub or cafe so there is the option of a drink and chat afterwards. See Programme
We also hold a variety of social events throughout the year.
The Club is affiliated to the Ramblers association and HF Holidays. We normally arrange to go away for a walking holiday once a year.

We welcome guests and are always looking for new members. Just turn up on the day for a taster walk (no charge) or for further information please see our membership page or  contact us.

If you like what you see the annual membership is just £10. Please see Membership page.
