Walking for the pleasure and enjoyment of the countryside, the club offers a variety of walking groups to cater for most abilities.
Our walks are normally circular and start at 10.00 a.m.
Monday walks are usually about 2 hours and around 4 – 5 miles. Sunday walks are longer at 5-6 miles. For those walkers who prefer a less challenging option the Leisurely Strollers programme is designed to be shorter and also takes place on a Monday at 10.a.m.
Well behaved dogs, on a short lead are welcome on all groups, unless stated otherwise in the walk description.

Sunday 22nd March – Meet at Eaton Socon church, School Lane, for this 4.6 mile walk around the river. Afterwards, refreshments at The Rivermill Pub and hopefully sit outside. Monday 23rd March – Meet at Walford Grove, Kempston, by the Maypole Farm Carvery. Park on the road leading in. Not sure of distance, but probably 5 miles. A mixture of track, field and road walking over to Wotton and around. Flat walking, no hills or stiles. Refreshments available at Maypole Farm. The Wednesday Wobblers
Wednesday 25th March – Meet at 10:30 a.m. at the Four Seasons Café in Mowsbury Park, Bedford, for a short stroll and coffee. Ex-ramblers are very welcome. Weather permitting. MK41 8DQ.
Monday 30th March – Meet at the rear of the Fox and Hounds car park, Riseley, at 10am for a new (to me anyway) route to the north-east of Riseley. It is about 5.5 miles, has undulations, field edges, two arable fields to cross (dry on the recce) and includes a length of smooth farm track along a ridge giving easy walking with all-round views.
