Walking for the pleasure and enjoyment of the countryside, the club offers a variety of walking groups to cater for most abilities.
Our walks are normally circular and start at 10.00 a.m.
Monday walks are usually about 2 hours and around 4 – 5 miles. Sunday walks are longer at 5-6 miles. For those walkers who prefer a less challenging option the Leisurely Strollers programme is designed to be shorter and also takes place on a Monday at 10.a.m.
Well behaved dogs, on a short lead are welcome on all groups, unless stated otherwise in the walk description.

Sunday 12th April – Meet at 10am at Ampthill Park – West Car Park opposite Queensman FC. The route goes to Ampthill Church and onto Kings Wood. Return is via the Park. The distance is just short of 7 miles and there are no stiles. Postcode: MK45 2HX Leader: Michael. Mob. 07505731114.
Monday 13th April – Meet at 10.00 am at the Rose & Crown, Ridgmont, for this walk of just under 5 miles. Ridgmont could be described as a typical English village with a school, a very imposing church and a pub. The walk takes us through some beautiful countryside, with the final section through Woburn animal reserve. There is a very short muddy section, though the recent dry and warm weather may have solved that issue.Please park in the pub car park (pub closed on Mondays). Address 89 High Street, Ridgmont. Sunday 19th April – Meet at 10 o’clock by the church in Buckden. Plenty of parking on Church Street. Approx 5.5 mile from Buckden to The Ouse and return. A small amount of road walking at the beginning and the end but mainly tracks. No stiles. Refreshments at The Vine afterwards. Sunday 26th April – Meet at Flitwick Village Hall car park for this 7.1 mile walk through Flitwick Moor, Flitwick Manor Park and around Flitwick. Guest Leader: Mel
Monday 27th April – Meet at Milton Ernest Garden Centre for this 5.3 mile walk. No stiles. Walk across the back of Clapham along tracks, paths and a little road walking. Leader: Liz

Sunday 3rd May – Meet at 10am near Wentworth Drive/Church Lane roundabout. This is a 5.8 mile walk up to Renhold and past the church. We then follow the track out by Pells Farm shop and continue on the road towards Wilden turning left at the bend. This takes us back towards Ravensden where we come out near the school. Further road walking until we make our way along the ridge and past the Polhill Arms and follow Renhold brook back to the start. There are a few gates and some inclines. Sunday 17th May – Meet 10am at Harrold/Odell Country Park main car park. £1 voluntary fee suggested. We go past the big lake, up to Odell, then through the Great Wood, along Yelnow Lane and back down a pretty track to Harrold Green and the Market House and Lock Up building. Approx 5.5 miles.
