Programme of walks & events

Walking for the pleasure and enjoyment of the countryside, the club offers a variety of walking groups to cater for most abilities.
Our walks are normally circular and start at 10.00 a.m. 

Monday walks are usually about 2 hours and around 4 – 5 miles. Sunday walks are longer at 5-6 miles. For those walkers who prefer a less challenging option the Leisurely Strollers programme is designed to be shorter and also takes place on a Monday at 10.a.m.

Well behaved dogs, on a short lead are welcome on all groups, unless stated otherwise in the walk description.

Saturday 17th January : AGM – 2.30 p.m. at St Andrew’s Church, Kimbolton Road, Bedford MK402PF. Refreshments to follow the meeting. 

Sunday 25th January – Meet at 10am at Cople church for a circular walk of 5.8 miles. An easy, mainly mud free, walk using footpaths and the cycle track around Cople and Willington via the Danish Camp. Two busy roads to cross and a little road walking on a quiet country lane. Sunday 1st February – Meet at Jordan’s Mill SG18 9JX for a 5 mile walk on easy surfaces with minimal mud and no stiles. We skirt round several small lakes, looking for ducks, swans and fishermen, and visit some areas of woodland where we may see flocks of goldfinches, long tailed tits and perhaps redwings and fieldfares.
